Equestrians of all disciplines and levels commit to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The equestrian who raises the most funds will be named the 2009 "Equestrian of the Year".
Each participant will be given the necessary materials, encouragement and motivation to begin their six months of fundraising.
Prizes will be presented to the top fundraisers at a special awards ceremony at the 7th Annual Cocktail Party and Silent Auction on February 12, 2009.
Additionally, all participants will receive their name on the poster.
Getting Started
When you register, you will receive a fundraising handbook full of great ideas and examples of materials. The Society's staff will be available to assist you throughout your fundraising campaign. About the Chairwoman
Mary Ann Grant is a grand prix dressage rider who has been long listed with the United State Equestrian Team. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2000 and completed her treatement in 2001. She has been in remission since then. Mary Ann's inspiration for chairing this event comes from the courage she saw in her fellow cancer patients, especially the children and their families.
